Kenneth Willardt is a celebrity, beauty, and fashion photographer currently based in New York City. Willardt was raised in the small town of Espergaerde just north of Copenhagen where, through his father’s interest in photography, he came to develop his own interest in it. Even at a very early age, he spent a great deal of his free time shooting with a Voigtländer 63. Willardt eventually studied at the Danish School of Photography, where he apprenticed under photographer Torsten Graae for five and a half years before moving to New York City in 1987.
Willardt has worked on campaigns for many beauty products including: Christian Dior, Nivea, L’Oréal, Pantene and Target; and Garnier, Calgon, Head & Shoulders, Max Factor, Maybelline, Neutrogena, Oil of Olay, Revlon and Shiseido.
He has also done editorial work for the magazines Allure, GQ, InStyle, the British edition of Glamour, and the Brazilian, German and Spanish editions of Vogue; and A Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Seventeen, the US edition of Glamour, and the Chinese edition of Vogue.
