Although the term, WMD, has become a part of our daily lexicon, it remains very much an abstraction for most of us. This series of images offers a retrospective look at some of these weapons. Most of my subjects are drawn from the Cold War period during which there was a very real threat to the survival of civilization itself. The last sixty years has seen a frenzied tango between strategy and technology that has left us with the chilling array of doomsday machines seen here.

Sometimes...
if you don't blow your own trumpet then nobody else is going to do it for you.
I thought it was time that I unleashed you on some of my own work. Unfortunately, there has not been very much of it in the past while as I have been quite unwell. However, now I am getting back on my feet again I would like to showcase two of my latest shots.

Wheel from the side.

From the rear.
This magnificent structure is The Falkirk Wheel. I have always had a bit of an interest in these things as the Forth and Clyde Canal runs almost directly behind my home, but this superb piece of engineering is not only highly effient, both in terms of time and energy, but is s strangely elegant addition to the landscape.
If you would like to see any more of my work you can find it here.

Photography by ThemeLibre at DeviantArt
I have previously asked that if any of our readers want to have their work featured in this blog then they should contact me.
I am pleased to introduce our very own Vianney, who has directed me to his outstanding portfolio of work on DeviantArt, and I am delighted to feature him as part of the blog's Undiscovered Artists theme.
Vianney has an extensive range of aesthetically pleasing photography, and although regretably I am only able to feature a few choice pieces of his work, I would throughly recommend looking through his gallery.
Congratulations Vianney.

This piece was especially prepared for Jean-Sébastien Monzani's great Advent Calendar Project.

The third round of features for undiscovered photographers. These are proving to be quite popular throughout, and I have tried to select the best of all the work which has been submitted to me.
Once again, comments please and if you are an undiscovered artist if you can comment with a link to your portfolio and your application will certainly be considered.
Thanks again.

These photographs are from a selection sent to me by the artists of work that they wanted to be published which can be their newest or what they feel to be most worthy of more coverage.
